Like many new england surfers, my ear canals are shutting down due to the dreaded "bony ear growth" , or "surfer's ear".
I've got one ear specialist's opinion so far, suggesting the traditional bone grinding procedure, and it didn't thrill me. wondering if anyone knows of any alternative practices, maybe laser or laporascopic, or a good doctor in the region with considerable experience in the generally preferred "canaloplasty", where they physically ream out the bone growth in your ear canal... at any rate, if I can't find a more desirable alternative, I'll just hold off for as long as I can. thanks for any insight on this subject.
