Own a piece of history. 1968 Hansen v-bottom 7'9'' Derringer model. Single fin. This board is a unique example of the development directly between the longboard era and the beginning of the early shortboard era. Vee bottom 'short'boards were really only made between 1968-1969.

Robin's Egg Blue bottom (think '57 chevy bel air), white deck with hand painted black pin lines and pyschedelic Derringer decal - a classic in itself.

Tail is very interesting rounded diamond with triangular concave on deck (yes, on the deck) to minimize volume in the tail and give some more bite as turns got tighter in the late 60's.

Nose is blunt with soft vee beginning a foot from the nose and running down the length of the board. Red Hi-Density Foam Stringer.

Fin is not original to board, appears to be handmade 70's style.

Board HAS NOT BEEN IN WATER IN 10+ years, kept in heated area, all dings have solid foam underneath (mainly rails, many cosmetic, very few on deck, bottom due to heavy glass job).

Would just need some dings repaired if you wanted to put in vintage surf auction. Mollusk Surf Shop NYC recently listed one of these for $900.

7'9''
14.5'' Tail
17" Nose
22" at widest point
3-3.5" thick

$600 firm.

Send me a message if interested.

Nice looking board. Wouldn't mind adding that to the collection.
