Is it only worth getting drylock accessories...i.e. gloves if you have a drylock suit. It's only 10 bucks more, but I am wondering if the technology is only worth it if you have both.

I bought the 7mm Dry Lock mitts a few weeks ago. They have a rubber gasket type seal at the wrist. The 1st one goes on easy as you have a free hand, the 2nd takes a few moments to pull on because it's tough to grip. Once you hit the water, your hands stay mostly dry and warm. Deffinately worth the cost. The Dry Lock boots that I saw didn't have the gasket and they were out of my size, so I got 7mm O'neill Heat, which seem warm enough, but your feet get wet when you step into the water.

I have the drylock suit, gloves and boots combo. Both gloves and boots have the "drylock" seal which is impressive but not perfect. The gloves are def worth it, zero water leakage, warm, and feel great. I think they will work fine with any other suit, cuz its not they interlock or anything, having both just means you have two seals. But, like SFW said, once you have one glove one, the other seal is sometimes hard to get on correctly, but still worth it.
The boots are good but nothing special, they work basically the same as any other boot high-end boot, cuz once you bail hard enough water still penetrates the "seal".

i have boots and gloves but not the suit. So far they are the best boots and gloves Ive tried. I have the 5 finger 5mm and 7mm boots. They're so toasty. For the gloves, if your having a hard time getting them on, try and fold the seal and slide it on and flip the seal back over. Thats what i do and it seems to work well. Only downside i would say of them is the gloves dont go that far up the wrist, so if they bunch up it gets a little annoying, but its worth the heat.

with the 7mm mitts, your hands will never get cold.
the 7mm boots aren't as warm. i think they've focused more on flexibility. my toes definitely get numb after a while.

personally i think the boots are amazing. so far i can only complain of being too hot in them as of now.

i bought the rip curl 7mm gloves and boots with out the drylock and they both suck ass. My room mate has the gloves with the gasket thingy and he says they are ok but not great.

I got the 5mm 3 finger gloves and they are amazing. Warm, light and no water seems to get in. Don't get them, because if you do you'll be in the water longer + have more fun.
