I going to go ahead and say it. Being able to catch waves easier and "ruling your home break" are not automatic bedfellows. In fact, in this case, unless it's under knee high, I can actually see this board being detrimental to "ruling" of any sort. Even on the narrow coastline of NH I can think of at least half a dozen spots where you'd get vibed right out of the lineup (if not the water) if you paddled out on that steamship, homebreak or not.

Nice piece of marketing for Craigslist or the want ads, but no one here is going to buy that line of crap.

Bullshit! Plenty guys are already well established in NH riding whatever they want, be it SUP or longboard etc.
If you have skills you don't get vibed except by clowns who couldn't ride anything anyway and are just jealous.
It's when some donkey who can't even turn his shortboard decides to get a bigger board to solve the problem and becomes a problem.
Learn to turn and then you won't get burned.

Shit, I heard The Brickhouse is buying it for Lester so he can dominate the SS Longboard classic and post from his waterproof blackberry in the process.

Learn to turn and then you won't get burned.Thank you professor. You just solidified my point. The people you are referring to already have the "skills" to "rule" their homebreak - whether on shortboard, lb, fish, sup, whatever. They don't need to buy an 11 footer to make it happen. If you think this board is being marketed toward the "skilled" set and not the aforementioned "donkeys" then you are kidding yourself.

I have a board that is awesome for tourism season. A regular old 9'4" longboard. Catches waves well and I can surf it in anything from 1 foot to (if I feel like it) head high or bigger. NO ONE except a grade A koooook needs a freakin' 11 foot, 4.5-inch thick, 26-inch wide board to get through tourism season - or any other season.

I'm not saying this board wouldn't be fun to try, especially w/ a paddle. But since when does cruisin shin high summer lines require a cruise ship?
