Hi guys,
In the spirit of Christmas, I'm looking to hook up a fellow wave rider with a sweet surf van in exchange for a retro fish or a nice longboard or some other interesting trade. The van is a 1991 Toyota Previa that runs great. Check out my comments in the "Greatest surf rig" thread. (Just do a search for Previa and it's the last post) It truly is a great surf rig. It runs strong, has cold AC, and the only things wrong with it are supposed to be easy to fix for a guy (or girl) who knows stuff about cars. It needs: a wheel bearing, a E-brake cable, and will need shocks in the not-too-distant future. Also the rear windshied wiper doesnt work.
The van has some rust but otherwise runs totally strong and I took it on a 1500+ mile road trip to the Outer Banks in October with four guys, seven boards, and a full load of camping gear. It's a sweet ride. It's got an awning that attaches to the roof-rack, a table that sets up between the back two rows of seats for cards or food, full curtains, and is great to sleep in. I'll throw in a set of snow tires, too, if they don't sell on Craigslit first. I love the van, but I just don't want to go through the hassle of selling it on craigslist or in the want ads, and since I bought it to surf, I figured I 'd post it here. I'd be willing to trade it for a nice retro fish in the 6'2" + range in really good condition, or maybe a nice longboard, or I'd be open to any other interesting trades. The KBB is something like $1350, but it's not worth the hassle for me to haggle with a bunch of punks over a small amount of money. I bought another nicer van already, and my wife wants this out of the driveway asap. This could be perfect for a younger guy without a lot of money or an older guy who needs an adventuremobile. Either way, post or pm me your offers. Happy holidays.
