Yep, time to finance x-mas. Up for sale is one beautiful, like-new 7' x 22 x 2 7/8" 2-SI, s-glass, gloss & polish, resin tinted, egg. Subtle single-double concave, great as a single or 2+1 widowmaker fun. $450, or consider trades for a very good condition longboard. One tiny rail snackle near nose that does not go through the glass, else mint condition.

Wow, dude. That's heavy. I def wasn't expecting you to put that puppy up for grabs. Sell your other 2SI Gem
Cassie D
4th December 2006, 15:35
yeah that is pretty rough selling that board... don't you have any younger siblings or organs you don't really need that you could sell on the black market instead? there must be some other way.

That is simply a beautiful board.
I love the full polish look, solid blue color, and the use of S-glass instead of the typical.
Your board reminds me of a longboard I recently picked up that Shane shaped for Virgo. I'm quite stoked with its beauty (compared to many of today's longboards that all look alike), quality of build, and most importantly, its performance.

Not meaning to jack your sale thread, just appreciating a beautiful shape and finish when I see it!
If I didn't already have a 7'0 egg, I'd bite on this. Someone should pick this egg up!
Cassie D
4th December 2006, 16:23
yeah... shane def makes beautiful boards in shape and in finish.. he made this custom 6' 6" blunt for me almost 2 years ago. I kinda gave him the gist of the paint I wanted on it.. but the airbrushing came out a million times better than I could have ever imagined!
Gahhh... I really wish I had the money to buy this egg... it'd be the perfect addition to my quiver:surf:

second in my opinion your not that good looking so everyone needs to stop this hot girl shit
hahahha

4th December 2006, 16:53
geeze thanks...
:(
well everyone has to start somewhere and I figured I'd rather own a bic and beat the crap out of that rather than a nice board for the first few months when I was learning.. it cost me $100 so in the long run it was cheaper than renting.. and that was a pic of me with my quiver less than 10 months after I started surfing... so I don't think that's too bad of a quiver for someone who had been surfing less than a year.
and there is only one "s" in my name
and yet another person who doesn't know how to use your and you're correctly
CRAZINESS
4th December 2006, 17:36
you're buying too many boards if you've got 3 after a year. slow down
Cassie D
4th December 2006, 17:44
yay... someone besides me used "you're" correctly today!
i bought 3 in my first year and havent bought any since (even though its only been one more year)
But they all make sence:
*Bic- really cheap beginner board that I got from cinnamon rainbows for $100 to use so i wouldnt ruin a nice board or have to pay for rentals
*6'6"-Wanted a shortboard, and figured I should make the investment
*9'2"-Decided I was ready for a nice longboard and probably would ruin it (i was planning on buying a used one but shane gave me a reallygood deal.) and after I bought that I had the bic to let my cousin borrow when she wanted to go with me so she wouldnt have to rent and we wouldnt have to worry about getting the board back to the shop before it closed.
so it really wasnt an excessive amount of boards.. plus i was still in high school so I had the money to blow

Cassie how about this, you need to wax your boards. No wax on the tail means no turns....
Cassie D
4th December 2006, 18:07
yeah, i know.. that was taken like the day after I got the shane smith lb so there really wasnt enough wax on it at all... i hate putting wax on new boards but realized it had to be done (I was pretty bummed when I had to wax up the shortboard for the first time.. cuz the paint is sooo nice on it)... there was wax pretty far down the 6' 6" you just cant tell... and at that point turning on the shortboard wasnt really a problem... the waves were pretty small that weekend so I was on the lb most of the time... that was actually the trip that I mastered turning on... it was also the trip where I came to the realization that i could only turn right and couldnt turn left to save my life. that was the summer before last.

hrm... yeah looking at the pics the wax on the 6'6" sucked too...
the wax on the 9'2" takes up about twice as much of the board now than it did in those pics
haha i really had no clue back then.... it was very much just trial and error

sorry :(
i wish i could make it up to you by buying your board!

A longboard should be waxed tip to tail save only about 2" strips running down each rail around where you sit. Allows you to walk the whole board without losing footing. The gaps help eliminate rash on the inside of your legs.
Next time you're out on the the log try sitting there whiping the board around and then going prone without using your hands, only your inner thighs. Much easier with a wetsuit on and it gives you 2 extra strokes (when done properly) before you're even in the prone position...

hrmm... sounds confusing.. but i shall try... my board is waxed from the logo to about 8" from the tail. I've never had a problem with rashing but if my rails arent waxed well I tend to slip when I go to pop up. thanks so much for the advice.. i suck pretty hard so any constructive advice is more than welcome!

Honestly, if it weren't for the pics I'd be certain Cassie was a troll or another Fenster incarnation. Even with the pics I'm not sure, but that would be rather elaborate. Cassie, if you are real, welcome aboard. And kudos on the scripture ref in your sig. Unfortunately, many of us on this forum (myself included) don't heed those words often enough.
ps - It's hilarious to me that Cassie can get away with this post and those pics and no one save EC even takes a shot at her, whereas a guy would be getting shredded right now. Perfect example was the thread w/ the shot of the guys and their 4 boards in an Eclipse. Don't get me wrong, I know the reason(s), but it's still funny. What a bunch of apes.

Wasn't there a guy named Groges Mahoney or something who used to post a buch of religious matter. He was very intriguing. Fire and brimstone.
Cassie D

I don't preach fire and brimstone  so no need to worry, I live my life (or at least try to) according to the bible, but I understand that others dont and dont want to hear about it either. Christianity aside I believe that it's just a great quote (one of many in the bible) that doesnt need to be taken or understood religiously but is just great to keep in mind and is a great quote to live your life by.

true surfer logic:rockon:
a few years ago my wife was giving me a hard time about a sweet board that I financed in part by selling a used board for more than I bought it for then addiing a couple of hundred to it, and she just would NOT let it go . . . clock kept ticking . .. 10 minutes . . . 20 minutes. . . I maintained the calm as long as I could, then exploded, yelling "IT COULDA BEEN A MIATA" . . . she looked at me gap mouthed for a loooooooong moment, then closed her mouth and FINALLY understood

But everyone can have a cheesy shot of themselves standing in front of their boards in some sort of goofy pose. I know that over the years I have been surfing, I have like six goofy pictures.
But I won't post 'em here...

kudos, another trick is to jack the board down into the water right before doing it so that the float propels you forward just as you start your paddle, gives you a nice boost for those last minute take offs!
