I am looking for a used fun or hybrid board for my 11-year-old son (he is about 5ft 1 and growing fast). He is just starting and the 5ft 2 T&C is too small for him (nose dives). He started to use my 7ft 6 Rainbow hybrid, and likes it. But I think he could get by with a 7ft give or take. An egg or hybrid would be nice but it all depends on what is out there, I am looking to spend about $200 max.
Just getting back into surfing after 10 years so excuse the old school talk besides I’m turning 50 soon.
Thanks

Alex-
I have a broken\repaired 7'8" works fine and is water tight.
I have a 7'3" that needs a fcs fin plug replaced.
Also have a 6'4" fish that is 3" thick.
They have been sitting in the basement too long collecting dust. Located on near MA\NH line.

How much are you looking to get for the fish?

I dunno, we can negotiate. Hand shaped by chino, used for a season before I got a smaller one. Catches waves easily in sloppy surf.

I'd be interested in seeing the fish as well. Don't have one but would like one...

FCS fins have 2 fin boxes (or plugs as I call em) per fin. Ripped out the front one when bottom turning on a rock a few years ago. The board is just collecting dust along with a few others.
Just checked, its a 7'2" funboard with a squash tail and a full nose and is 20" wide. Good for a small kid to learn to surf or for an adult wanting to drop board sizes from a 9' longbboard.
The "fish" is a 6'3" hand shaped by chino - full nose and squash tail as well. About 3" thick.
I'll put up a post with all the old boards I need to get rid of tonight.

You can see where the plug is missing in the 1st pic. Should be a $30 to 50 fix for the 7'2"
The other funboard is a 7'6", probably similar to the one your son surfed. No work needed and surfs fine.
$200 would be fine for either one. Retails $550+ new.
