View Full Version : Car Break-In at Good Harbor
Hey everybody-
I was surfing at Good Harbor in Gloucester on Sunday. I paid $25 to park in the lot. While I was out, some asshole smashed my front window and grabbed my camo shorts of the front seat. In the shorts was my dickies wallet (ID, credit card, cash, business cards, $50 ticket to my friend's WFL fight this Saturday,), my cell phone (LG verizon VX8100), my leatherman wave, two row studded belt, jacknife.
If anyone sees or hears about any of this, please let me know. My email is ecfukid@yahoo.com, and I can be reached at 617-909-2550.
Lesson learned - dont leave anything laying out visible in the car, make sure all your stuff is secure. No matter where you go there are scumbags ready to fuck with you and your shit. Be smart.
And if you see anybody messing around, beat the fucking life out of them.
That sucks man...whoever did it deserves a severe beat down!!!
Must be the same local thats slashing tires in Rhodey...

that sucks to hear that. I was out too same place, same time. I'll keep my eyes out for any aholes and give em a good ol' fashion ronnieC beatdown. Although, being at that place and in that parking lot, I highly doubt this was surf related. Probably just some punks going through the parking lot and picking what they wanted......

Nope, I don't even surf. Can I borrow your BIC?
Thanks for the support everybody. Shit happens. I'm sure it was just an opportunistic snatch and grab. I should have been a bit smarter as to where I parked and what was visible from outside the car. Life is too short to focus on the negative. But goddamn I would love to catch em in the act too.
See you in the surf. :surf:

Being from Gloucester and knowing 99% of the local surfers, I can tell you that it was none of them to my knowledge and I can't think of anyone who would do that. If I hear of anything I'll let you know. I'm allabout keeping out of towners out of Gloucester but breaking a windshield and stealing is bullshit cause they could just as easily have done mine and not known it. What responsibility does the town have as it happened in thier payed lot, do they assume some liability in this?
I don't know. I hadn't really considered it. Maybe I could at least get my 25 bucks back ha! I should give the town hall a call. It did happen after the lot attendants left so I don't know...
I really don't think it was surf related... I've only been surfing up there for a little over a year, but I've never had a problem with anyone. Just luck of the draw I guess.
danger, i'm proud to be that 1% :headbang:
haha, just kidding man.
i'm stealthy... stealthy pat.

And yet, neither of you know me and I've surfed in Gloucester and Rockport for a long time and grew up here. But no worries I'll identify you one of these days through the underground surf grommitt network. Such info could be misused in the wrong hands...

Hmmm, been hanging out in that area for around 13 years or so...I think I'm too old for the groms to know anything good, yet too young for the older guys to know enough.
I bet if I saw you I'd know exactly who you were too.........

Probably so but that depends where you surf regularly. I haven't surfed GH more than once or twice a year in the last 4 or 5 years, mostly at the other places.

bad harbor, bad
kid who lives in front of the wave you mentioned in the tire thread has surfed with me... one of the only groms i've surfed with consistently. he's on here, but doesn't post much. he's been surfing your wave more often lately from when i've talked to him. wouldn't say i'm really a grom either. not anymore, few years ago.

Hmm, I think I've seen you a few times in the h20 (judging from the pics I've seen) so I'm SURE you'd know who I was.
The mystery remains!
